We have some exciting news to share. Aura Windows & Doors has been named Small Showroom of the Year at the 2025 AGWA Design and Industry Awards, and not just once. Our Mayfield West showroom took out the NSW award first, then went on to win the National award against the best showrooms from every state in Australia. For a local Newcastle manufacturer, this one means a lot.
What are the AGWA Design and Industry Awards?
AGWA stands for the Australian Glass & Window Association, the peak industry body for window and glass businesses across the country. Every year, AGWA runs its Design and Industry Awards to recognise excellence in design, quality, innovation and creativity across the industry.
Winners are chosen at state level first. State winners then go up against each other at the National Awards, judged from entries right across Australia. So a national win is not handed out lightly, and it puts our showroom at the top of the industry for 2025.
What did Aura Windows & Doors win in 2025?
Both awards recognise our showroom at Mayfield West in Newcastle. It was designed to help homeowners, builders and architects see and touch our full range of aluminium windows and doors before they make a decision, and clearly the judges liked what we have built.

Why did our Newcastle showroom win?
We built the showroom with one simple idea: create a space with external and internal finishes that match those of a contemporary home. Anyone can fit products into display stands, but that doesn’t give a homeowner the full picture of how the products will look once their home is finished. We created a showroom where all our products can be tested and compared side by side, with various installation details, hardware and glass options, to give our customers the big-picture view of what they can expect. Photos on a screen only get you so far.
Inside, you can explore working displays of our sliding doors, bi-fold doors, entrance doors and a full range of window styles. Our team is on hand to walk you through frame colours, glass options, energy ratings and compliance requirements, so you leave with clear answers, not more questions.
